I recieved this e-mail recently:

Dear Dave,

   My name is Kathy Schubert and I am the wife of Owen Schubert. I am writing to tell you the very sad news that my husband passed away at the end of January. We will miss him very much. He always enjoyed playing table tennis. Thank you for everything to you and all the members of the Connecticut Table Tennis Club.

Owens sense of humor and joyous spirit will be missed by those of us who knew him from playing in Middletown previous to 2009.
